Gayatri is a psychotherapy candidate in training with the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP), where she is deepening her clinical skills in psychoanalytic therapy with children, adolescents, and families. Her practice is grounded in a relational, trauma-informed approach that fosters safety, understanding, and empowerment in the therapeutic process.
With over a decade of leadership experience in community-based organizations, she brings a rich background in supporting children, youth, and families. Gayatri has held management roles at Yellow Brick House, Massey Centre, and the Parenting and Family Literacy Centres, where she led programs rooted in inclusive, responsive mental health care.
At Yellow Brick House, she supports survivors of gender-based violence through programming designed to provide stability, emotional support, and safety for women and children navigating trauma.
At Massey Centre, Gayatri oversaw a wide range of services—including early learning, education and employment programs, and supportive housing for young parents—while managing a team of over 50 frontline staff. In her role with the Parenting and Family Literacy Centres, she coordinated early years programming across multiple sites and played a key role in integrating services into EarlyON centres across Peel, reinforcing her passion for early intervention and family engagement. In her clinical work, Gayatri draws upon this wealth of experience to support clients through complex transitions, developmental needs, and intergenerational challenges. She approaches therapy with thoughtfulness, curiosity, and care, and believes that healing and growth happen within safe, trusting relationships.
